Children’s Day (also called International Children’s Day) is in many countries a children’s holiday that is celebrated on different dates. In many countries, it is celebrated on November 20, the day the United Nations Declaration on the Rights of the Child was adopted. In the former USSR and in the countries that were its satellite states, the date is June 1, the first day of summer in the Northern Hemisphere. Some other countries adopt other data. In Romania it is celebrated on June 1
